Mobile, shop, or both?
Google treats these three setups differently, so your website and your profile have to say which one you are.
Mobile welder
You go to the job and customers don’t come to you. On Google that’s a service-area business: the address stays hidden and you list the towns you cover. Your site leads with “we come to you.”
Fab shop
Customers drop off work or pick up parts. Google expects a shown address with permanent signage. Your site leads with hours, directions, and what to bring.
Shop plus field work
Google calls this a hybrid: you can show the shop address and also set a service area, as long as the shop is staffed during the hours you list.

Welders ask us.
I work out of my house. Do I have to show my address?
No. If customers don’t come to you, Google’s guidelines say to hide the address and list the areas you serve instead. Your website doesn’t need it either.
Most of my work is word of mouth. Why bother?
People who get your name from a friend still look you up before they call. A site with your real work on it and a profile with your real hours back up the referral.
Can you write the content?
Yes. We write it from a short conversation with you about the work you do and the work you want more of. You send photos; we do the rest.
Do I need certifications listed?
Only if you hold them and your customers ask. If you do, we give them their own spot so contractors and plant buyers can find them fast.
